Valve and Actuator

Valve, actuator and cap are essential components of an aerosol can. As piston supplier and system supplier, we offer in this area with our cooperation partners a high problem-solving skills.

Please look at our product video.

The Zima Systems GmbH works closely with renowned and innovative valve and actuator manufacturers. We place special emphasis on high confidentiality of cooperation, especially when it comes to innovative product ideas. We are confident that we will find the right solutions for your product needs and ideas.

For actuators, there are a number of different solutions. We engage in many cases tried and tested standard technology from leading manufacturers in this industry sector.

In the area of high and highly viscous products we offer in cooperation on specially adapted adapter and actuators. Talk to us.

Usually valves with 1" plates are used. In contrast to bag systems (BOV) plays the valve geometry for the functioning of our piston system no special role. The upper piston design allows the use of all available 1'' valves on the market. For higher viscosity products and so-called high Delivery Valves / PU Valves will be used.

Valve Technology:

The adjacent sketch shows the basic structure of a spray can valve. The starting point is a short plastic tube open at the top with a hole in the side (3). A rubber ring (4) around the tube seals the side hole. A spring is attached to the lower, closed side of the tube, which sits with the lower part of the tube in a plastic housing (5). The rubber ring rests on the edge of the case. A metal holder, the valve disk (2), presses this assembly so tightly that only the tube can move. If the tube, on which the spray head (1) is mounted, is now pressed down, the rubber ring remains in its position and the small side hole slides under it into the inside of the can. At the same time, the spring is compressed in the housing. The pressure in the can causes the mixture of product and propellant gas to escape through the tube. If it is no longer pressed from above, the spring moves the tube upwards to its original position and the rubber ring closes the side hole again. It no longer sprays. With the Zima-Kolben system, the riser pipe is no longer necessary. It can be sprayed in any can position. Also with the Zima system, a valve disc holds the valve components together with the spray can.
